China face masks production is in a mess, every farmer and his dog now has factory that makes masks. The cause and effect is fake certifications, copied pics, layers of agents while authentic factories are busier than usual. We are seeing Govt officials controlling exports, raw materials pricing in certain provinces, while my inbox has 100+ messages from “come lately”. Sifting through the maze is primary and our team are on the floor in China inspecting stock, factory productions for our Government Country Client (remains anonymous)
Last Wednesday after due diligence, Gina my staff in Guangzhou inspected a factory with 150k masks sitting in warehouse.
We have approved order, Govt issued a letter of authority migrated into top tier, immediate 2 million units, of total 15 million that’s increasing up to 30 million.
Payment is via trade assurance, while most planes are grounded, we have a plane at the ready to pick up and fly out.
Post due diligence, we are inspecting two factories today in Shangdong and Anhui.
