1. Research and Preliminary Checks:

· Check their website and online presence to get an initial idea of their capabilities and reputation.
2. Background Check:
· Verify the company's legal status in China. We can do this by checking their business registration details with the local government authorities.
3. Contact the Supplier:
· Reach out to the supplier and request information about their company, including their production capacity, quality control processes, certifications, and any relevant industry experience.
4. Visit the Factory:
· Ideally, visit the supplier's factory in person. This will give we a firsthand look at their facilities, equipment, and production processes.
· If visiting in person is not possible, consider hiring a third-party inspection agency with experience in auditing Chinese factories. They can provide we with a detailed report.
5. Check Certifications and Compliance:
· Verify if the supplier holds any quality certifications relevant to the steel industry (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
· Ensure that the factory complies with local environmental and safety regulations.
6. Quality Control and Testing:
· Inquire about the supplier's quality control procedures, including material testing, dimensional accuracy checks, and product inspection.
· Ask for samples of their steel products to evaluate their quality.
7. Supplier References:
· Request references from the supplier and contact their previous or current clients to inquire about their experiences and satisfaction with the supplier's products and services.

· Review the supplier's terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties.
10. Intellectual Property Protection:
· If we have proprietary designs or technology, discuss and ensure that wer intellectual property rights will be protected.
11. Social Responsibility and Ethics:
· Inquire about the supplier's labor practices, ethical standards, and commitment to social responsibility. Ensure they comply with labor laws and ethical standards.
12. Logistics and Shipping:
· Discuss logistics and shipping arrangements to understand lead times, shipping costs, and terms of delivery.
13. Audit Report:
· If we visit the factory or hire a third-party inspection agency, obtain a comprehensive audit report detailing the factory's capabilities, compliance, and any identified issues.
14. Continuous Monitoring:
· Once we start working with the supplier, establish a system for ongoing monitoring and quality control to ensure consistency in product quality and reliability.
