Typically in April/May and again in November, Canton. Hong Kong hosts the Global Sources Trade Show. Sadly, there are no trade fairs, due to covid is now all online.


Buy From China with local Wholesale Markets While in China, the largest being Yiwu Market, for example, is the largest wholesale market in the world. Due to Covid you may want to hire a local buyer on your behalf.


Find Chinese Suppliers on B2B platforms, either Alibaba. Global Sources (the same people who run the trade show). DH Gate. AliExpress, a division of Alibaba smaller MOQ.

Requesting Samples: Once you've made contact with a potential supplier, either online or at a trade show, you need to email and ask for a sample thus enabling you to validate its quality. You may have to pay for samples for peace of mind. That being said, sometimes the samples are not the actual product in their listings.


The devils are in the details: have a buying plan, be specific with specs, pics and plans. Watch out for large minimum order quantities (MOQ) every vendor have their MOQ. Best way is ask for their MOQ.


Negotiate Payment Terms, minimum deposit, final payment, inspection during production, and final count, quality check and load container.
