Comprehensive Kava Production Factory Project by Dracon International

Overview: Transforming Kava Production in Vanuatu & Fiji

Dracon International is proud to present a cutting-edge project to establish kava production facilities in Vanuatu and Fiji. This comprehensive initiative encompasses procurement, testing, logistics, and installation of a full production line, delivering a turnkey solution for efficient kava processing and packaging.

Project Deliverables

The project comprises two major components:

  1. Factory Plant: Design and construction of a state-of-the-art facility for kava cleaning, drying, grinding, and packaging.

  2. Kava Warehouse: A custom-designed warehouse featuring offices, staff amenities, and optimized goods circulation areas.

Target Milestones:

  • Installation Completion: March 2024

  • Operational Launch: May 2024

Project Scale

  • Daily Harvest Processing: 1.5 tonnes of raw kava for drying

  • Weekly Production: 2.5 tonnes of fine kava powder

  • Raw Material Composition: ~70% water content

  • Post-Drying Target: ≤13% water content

Production Process Overview

1. Harvesting and Preparation

  • Washing and Cleaning:

Conveyor-based systems with high-pressure water jets ensure thorough removal of dirt and impurities.

2. Drying

  • Drying Process:

Post-cleaning, kava roots are dried using controlled environments to reduce moisture content and prevent mold formation. Expert recommendations on drying machinery are welcomed to optimize this phase.

3. Crushing and Grinding

  • Crushing: Roots are crushed into a bark-like consistency, enabling efficient grinding. Output machinery suggestions to meet productivity requirements are under evaluation.

  • Grinding:Multi-stage grinding equipment ensures kava is processed into fine powder.

4. Powder Processing and Packaging

  • Sieving and Filtering: Systems ensure uniform particle size and impurity removal.

  • Packaging: Automated systems, including vacuum sealing, enhance shelf life.

5. Quality Control Regular lab testing ensures microbial safety, chemical quality, and optimal moisture levels.

6. Labeling and Storage

  • Labeling: Automated labeling adheres to export and local standards.

  • Storage: Climate-controlled areas maintain product quality pre-distribution.

Warehouse Design for Vanuatu

Given the island's unique climate and environmental challenges, the warehouse is engineered for durability, efficiency, and resilience.

Structural Design

  • Foundation: Elevated marine-grade concrete base for flood and salt resistance.

  • Frame: Q355 galvanized steel with anti-corrosive coatings, designed to withstand 250 km/h cyclonic winds.

Walls and Roof

  • Insulated Panels: Galvalume-coated steel walls with moisture-resistant polyurethane cores.

  • Roof Design: UV-resistant, sloped for optimal rain runoff, and double-layer insulation.

Additional Features

  • Ventilation: Ridge and louvered roof vents manage heat and humidity.

  • Roller Doors: Cyclone-rated galvanized steel with wind-resistant seals.

  • Windows: Impact-resistant, double-glazed glass for light control and durability.

Dracon International’s kava production project integrates cutting-edge technology, environmental adaptability, and comprehensive quality control to revolutionize the kava industry in Vanuatu and Fiji. By March 2024, we aim to establish a facility capable of meeting global standards and exceeding client expectations, setting a benchmark for kava processing excellence.
