Dracon International, China’s most professional Buying Agent in the Construction industry, and our client Ernest were excited as we embarked on a journey to Cangzhou, China, for a critical quality control inspection. The project? Our brand-new Rollform Machine, designed to produce corrugated steel roofing sheets up to 0.6 mm thick.
Our adventure started at Shanghai Airport, where I picked up Ernest and for the first leg of our trip started with Starbucks coffee, debrief and getting to know each other. The hustle and bustle of the airport didn't faze us—both of us were eager to see the machinery in action. After a quick flight, we found ourselves on the high-speed train heading to Cangzhou. The ride was smooth, allowing us time to discuss the day's schedule and finalize plans for the inspection.
Arriving in Cangzhou, we were greeted by 30 year story, and a mix of traditional charm and modern convenience. The hotel was a pleasant surprise, with luxurious accommodations and impeccable service—a perfect spot to relax after a long day’s work.
The following morning, it was down to business. We headed to the manufacturing site where the Rollform Machine was being assembled. The sight of the nearly completed machine filled us with anticipation. We were met by the engineers overseeing the final stages, ready to conduct the thorough quality control inspection.
The inspection began with a dry run to ensure mechanical alignment and system functionality. Ernest and I watched closely, noting how precisely the machine operated. The tests with steel sheets followed, using materials similar to what we’d be working with back home—sheets 5.8 meters long, 1 meter wide, and up to 0.55mm thick. To our delight, the machine passed every test with flying colors, delivering smooth, consistent results.
With a successful inspection behind us, we sat down with the manufacturers for a post-inspection debrief. It was during these discussions that Ernest and I realized the potential for even greater production capacity. Confident in the quality and performance of the machine, we placed another order—not just for one more Rollform Machine, but two!

After days of hard work and productive meetings, we celebrated our success back at the hotel, enjoying a fine dinner while reflecting on what we had achieved. This was more than just a successful inspection; it was a milestone in Dracon International's journey toward innovation and excellence in the construction industry.
We are ready to order China food fit for a king.
As we boarded the train back to Shanghai, we were not just returning home with one new machine, but with the promise of even greater things on the horizon. Ernest and I knew we had set the stage for the future, one rollforming machine at a time.
